The Georgia Association of Emergency Medical Services is a non¬profit organization dedicated to helping EMTs and Paramedics who work in the State of Georgia. Their Mission is to advocate for the emergency medical provider, develop educational programs, liaison activities, provider benefit programs, and improvements to the Emergency Medical Service System in Georgia.

Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission

As Georgia experiences a crisis due to the lack of sufficient numbers of trauma centers and an organized trauma system, the Vision of the Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission has set a course for a thorough assessment of the Georgia trauma system to identify its current limitations and requirements and opportunities for the future.

The Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) has as its mission is to provide a comprehensive and aggressive all‐hazards approach to homeland security initiatives, mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery and special events in order to protect life and property and prevent and/or reduce negative impacts of terrorism and natural disasters in Georgia. GEMA’s vision is the lead state agency for the unified coordination of planning and response to events that require multi‐agency support.

Georgia 3 Disaster Medical Assistance Team

The Georgia 3 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (GA3DMAT) is part of a larger program called the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS). This system is part of the Federal Response Plan to natural and man made disasters with the task of health and medical care in austere environments. NDMS also has memorandums of understanding with several federal agencies to provide medical support to certain special events.
