Tragedy For Marshall Greene, A Local Gordon County EMT Fireman

Two children are dead and their mother and two other people were injured in a Friday morning wreck in Murray County involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV. According to the Georgia State Patrol, a GMC Envoy traveling south on Old U.S. 411 failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer heading east on Ga. 136. The wreck occurred around 10 a.m. Zach Greene, 6, and Mason Greene, 12, both of Summerville, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their mother, Susan Renee Greene, 39, and a relative, Dylan Webb, 13, of Euharlee, were taken to Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton. A memorial fund has been set up to help the Greene family. The fund has been set up at NorthSide Bank in Calhoun (corner of Hwy 53E and Lovers Lane Rd, across from Longhorn’s).
