Childhood injuries are the leading cause of death for Georgia’s children ages 1–17 years. Each week, on average, 11 children lose their lives due to either intentional or unintentional injuries, averaging 549 deaths annually (1999–2006).
This project will provide specific live saving pediatric equipment to Georgia Emergency Medical Service Agencies. Many EMS agencies do not have the funding to provide for these types of pediatric specialty equipment to help save our children’s lives.
