Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Equipment

Childhood injuries are the leading cause of death for Georgia’s children ages 1–17 years.  Each week, on average, 11 children lose their lives due to either intentional or unintentional injuries, averaging 549 deaths annually (1999–2006).

EMSC Equipment for EMS Departments:

This project will provide specific live saving pediatric equipment to Georgia Emergency Medical Service Agencies.  Many EMS agencies do not have the funding to provide for these types of pediatric specialty equipment to help save our children’s lives.

Here is a list of equipment that you can help us provide to those EMS agencies needing it most:

Pediatric Transport Device (ex. Pedimate) $245 each
Broselow Pediatric Resuscitation Bags $1,950 fully stocked
Pediatric Pulse Oximeter Probes $28 each
Capnography Equipment/ Probes $2,200 each Capnography/ $12.25 each Probe
Pediatric Intubation Handles/ Blades $22.95 each Handle/ $28.95 each Blade
Pediatric Airway Supplies Cost varies due to numerous types & variations
