The Georgia Emergency Medical Services Preparedness Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to providing EMS preparedness resources and training for Georgia’s Emergency Medical Service responders and the citizens of Georgia. We provide these services primarily through private donations and funding from grants. For EMS to be prepared in Georgia, it takes considerable training resources. The Foundation is committed in assisting training institutions in funding EMS specific training for EMS personnel in Georgia.
The Georgia EMS Preparedness Foundation Board also works with local EMS agencies to identify needs within the community they serve. In addition, we partner with state and local officials to provide support for EMS Community Projects. While other foundations may have a general fund in which donations are pooled and then distributed, the Georgia EMS Preparedness Foundation works to identify specific projects in local Georgia communities for which our partners can provide specific funding.
